Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after two men were allegedly assaulted in the town – with two CCTV images of two men they would like to speak with being released.
The incident happened on Poole Hill at approximately 4am on Thursday 27 March 2014.
It is alleged that the victims, a 43-year-old man and a 26-year-old man both from Bournemouth, were assaulted by three men.
Both victims sustained injuries which required hospital treatment. One received severe bruising and swelling and the other had a broken collar bone.
Detective Constable Jonathan Sainsbury, of Bournemouth and Poole CID said: “It is believed that this was an unprovoked attack that occurred as the two victims and another woman were walking along Poole Hill away from the town centre.
“Following enquiries, I am now able to release CCTV images of two men who may be able to help us with our investigation. I would urge the men pictured – and anyone who recognises them – to contact Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.
“I would ask witnesses – anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the time of this incident – and anyone with information about the people responsible, to call Dorset Police on 101.”
A 32-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
