Officers investigating alleged bike theft offences in Bournemouth are releasing photos of two recovered bikes in a bid to return them to their owners.
At 5.40am on Thursday 24 September 2015, Dorset Police were called to reports that two bicycles were allegedly stolen from Poole Hill and found abandoned outside Tesco Express in the Square in the town centre.
The first bike is described as a red Mountain Ridge Destroyer mountain bike and the second is a silver and blue Carrera Maxima mountain bike.
Police Constable Chris Brolan, of Bournemouth police, said, “I am keen to reunite these bicycles with their owners and would appeal to anyone who recognises them to please call me on 101.
“I would also like to remind bike owners to ensure their bikes are left secure and to consider having their bikes tagged so that they can be easily identified if recovered.”
Advice and information is available on the Crime Prevention Portal on the Dorset Police website – http://CrimePrevention.dorset.police.uk.
Two men aged 23 and 24, both from Bordon in Hampshire, were arrested on suspicion of theft and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
