Alleged fail-to-stop fatal collision in Poole: three more arrests
Following a reported fail-to-stop collision in Poole when a pedestrian in her 20s died, police have made a further three arrests.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.46pm on Sunday 12 December of a collision involving a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on the A3049 between the Mannings Heath roundabout and Alderney roundabout.
Very sadly, the pedestrian from Poole was pronounced dead at the scene and her family was informed.
It is reported that the occupants of the vehicle left the area.
Previously, a 17-year-old boy, an 18-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, two 19-year-old men and two men aged 20 had been arrested. They are all from the Poole area.
After further enquiries, an 18-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Poole, and a 26-year-old man from Bournemouth were arrested.
All 10 were arrested on suspicion of driving offences. One of the 19-year-old men was released on police bail and the other nine have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this collision and our thoughts continue to remain with the woman’s family and friends at this very sad time,” said Inspector Craig Tatton of the traffic unit. “I am still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to help my investigation.”
