Detectives in Ferndown are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an alleged kidnap and robbery on the outskirts of the town on Tuesday (30 April).
The incident began at approximately 12.40pm on the A31 near to Lidl and continued at a car park on the Heatherlands Estate behind Barnes Close.
It is alleged that the victim, a 22-year-old Ferndown man, was forced into a gold coloured Peugeot, assaulted in the car park and his mobile phone and cigarettes were stolen.
He sustained minor cuts and bruising.
Detective Constable Steve May, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This happened at a time of day when members of the public would have been in the area.
“The Peugeot is very distinctive and I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen it or has information about it.
“I urge anyone who may recall seeing this incident take place or may have information about those involved to contact Dorset Police in confidence.”
A 26-year-old man of no fixed abode and an 18-year-old man from Ferndown have been arrested and released on police bail.
