Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an alleged theft of a bag in the Winton area.
The incident happened at approximately 12pm on Wednesday 26 February 2014 on Wimborne Road.
It was reported that a woman in her twenties had her bag snatched by a man while she was waiting with her boyfriend to cross the road at the junction of Talbot Road and Wimborne Road.
The alleged offender then ran into the alleyway behind Natwest Bank being chased by the victim’s boyfriend and a member of the public. He is described as white, in his late teens or early twenties and of slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
The victim was not harmed in the incident.
Detective Constable Neil Third, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything that can help with the investigation.
“In particular, I am interested in talking to the two male occupants of a silver Ford Mondeo which was waiting at the traffic lights at the time of the incident.
“I would also like to talk to the woman who spoke to the victim at the traffic lights immediately after the incident occurred.
“Witnesses and anyone with information are asked to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.”
A 26-year-old woman from Bournemouth and a 39-year-old man from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal.
