Alsatian bites two people and a dog in Poole Park
Police are appealing for the owners of the dog to come forward and any witnesses to the incident on Thursday 17 April.
A dog has reportedly bitten a child, a woman and another dog in Poole Park.
Dorset Police received a report that at around 4.30pm on Thursday 17 April, a boy was bitten by a dog sustaining an injury to the back of his knee.
It was further reported that the dog bit the victim’s mother when she tried to intervene, as well as the dog they were walking in the park.
No serious injuries were reported.
The dog has been described as a large black Alsatian with tan colour on its front and was being walked by a man and a woman.
The man was described as having long black hair and wearing a white or beige T-shirt and dark trousers, and the woman was described as having blonde hair and wearing a blue dress.
They were also reported to have been with a second dog, described as a beige Chihuahua.
Police Constable Heather Anderson, of Poole police, said: “This incident resulted in a woman and her son needing to attend hospital to get their injuries checked.
“We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and as we have now obtained full details from the victim, we are now in a position to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.
“I would also urge the man and woman involved to please do the right thing and get in touch with us so we can take your account of what happened.”
