Over £700 was raised on 4 August for Hangers Heroes at a fete held by Altogether Care at their Steepleton Manor residential home. Local produce stands, a gardeners question table, activities for children such as splat the rat and archery kept the whole family entertained.
Altogether Care had chosen to work with Hangers Heroes due to the great work they carry out in supporting smaller local charities such as Dorset Search & Rescue, Stella Hayward riding for the disabled, The Front Skate Park Weymouth, MV Freedom and Westfield Arts College.
The private gardens of the Grade 2 Listed Victorian Manor at Winterbourne Steepleton were the perfect venue for the fete, not only for the local village fete goers but also for the residents who thoroughly enjoyed the entertainments.
Altogether Care value their residents independence, which is why at Steepleton Manor they offer a range of facilities such as a well-stocked library, fine choice of food, swimming pool, walled garden, a shop, hair dressing salon, regular bus trips and a fulltime activity and outings co-ordinator.
Offering short term respite breaks and long term nursing care, a stay at Steepleton Manor is a high quality, relaxing, yet sociable experience. To find out more, speak to a member of Altogether Care’s friendly staff on 01305 300161, or visit www.altogethercare.co.uk.
