The National Trust has teamed up with Purbeck Arts Weeks Festival to host an evening recital of Mozart’s music, performed by international musicians in the grand saloon at Kingston Lacy, Dorset, on Sunday 13 March.
Guests will be welcomed by Purbeck young musicians with promising talent. There will be an opportunity to explore the state rooms of Kingston Lacy after hours and to talk with Kingston Lacy’s dedicated volunteers and room guides. After a welcome talk from Andrew McLaughlin, General Manager, the main performance will begin.
Miranda Fulleylove (violin), Louise Williams (viola), and Robin Michael (cello) are due to perform Mozart’s Duo in G minor and Mozart’s Divertimento in E flat.
After the recital guests will be served a light Italian supper in the formal dining room and be able to meet with the performers.
Katherine Bundy, Visitor Experience Officer at Kingston Lacy, said: “This event is part of the Festivals Chamber Music in Purbeck Houses series and we are pleased to be able to support Purbeck Arts Weeks Festival in this way.
“It promises to be a very special evening and will be wonderful for guests to be able to listen to Mozart’s music in the magnificent surroundings of the saloon at Kingston Lacy, and then to enjoy supper in the equally splendid dining room,” continued Katherine. “The event will be a treat for music lovers and would make an inspired Mother’s Day gift.”
