The steely powerhouse Ann Widdecombe, best known for her feisty and witty appearances on TV, in shows such as, ‘Have I Got News For You,’ and for her unforgettable performance on BBC1’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, was the speaker at a dinner at Parley Manor near Ferndown, Dorset on 16 October.
Hosted by Ferndown Conservatives in association with other businesses, the Master of Ceremonies was Christchurch MP Chris Chope.
Malcolm Barber, Chairman of Ferndown Conservatives said, “I was delighted to host this special event. Ann spent the evening entertaining the 100 plus guests with her witty repartee. The audience enjoyed a variety of stories about her political career, pantomime, TV shows, as well as her political exploits.
“Ann is a prolific writer and still a staunch supporter of the Conservatives, which is why we were able to draw her to Dorset for this special dinner.”
Ann concluded the evening with no holds barred Q&A session.
The other businesses that joined forces to host the evening were: Mercedes Benz of Poole, Templar Wines, Apex Care, PLATO Video, Amica Technology, Uni print, UK Women Magazine, Promotional Presence, Select Events and PPR Media Solutions.
