Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forwards after an alleged sexual assault in the town centre.
The incident happened at around 2.50am on Sunday 13 October in the area of Horseshoe Common.
It is alleged that the victim, a 32-year-old Bournemouth woman, was inappropriately touched by a man and then stabbed in the leg with a screwdriver.
Detective Constable Al Marks, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Dorset Police urgently.
“I would also like to hear from any women who were approached by a man in the area at the time and asked for a light for a cigarette.”
A 28-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and sexual assault and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
