Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Christchurch.
At approximately 1.47pm on Thursday 14 May 2015, a road traffic collision took place in Sopers Lane outside Twynham School involving a red Citroen Saxo, being driven by a man from New Milton, and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 22-year-old local woman, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed while collision investigators examined the scene.
Police Sergeant Stuart Pitman, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses to the collision or the manner of driving of the Saxo just before the collision to please call me on 101.
“We have worked closely with the school to ensure a smooth end to the school day.”
