Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision near Wimborne on Thursday 24 July 2014.
The collision, in which a grey and white Fiat Autorail motorhome was in a collision with a yellow DAF tipper truck, occurred on the A31 outside the Wimborne Service Station, near Wimborne around 10.15am.
Sadly the driver of the motorhome, a man in his 60s from Fareham, died at the scene. His wife, a woman in her 60s, who was the front seat passenger of the motorhome, was airlifted to Southampton hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tipper truck, a man in his 40s from Weymouth, was taken to Poole hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the collision to contact Acting Sergeant Sarah Jones of the Traffic Unit.
