Appeal following fail to stop collision in Poole
The driver of a white Audi gave false contact details after a collision with a Skoda on Holes Bay North roundabout and then drove off at speed.
Two people were slightly hurt in a collision on Holes Bay North roundabout near to the Shell garage at around 8.30pm on Wednesday 16 March.
In the incident between a red Skoda Fabia and a white Audi A3 S-line it is reported that the Audi driver initially stopped, but gave false contact details and subsequently made off at speed onto the Upton bypass.
The driver of the Skoda and their passenger – a man and woman aged in their 20s – sustained minor injuries.
Police Constable Charlie Whittaker, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were driving in the vicinity and may have captured the incident, or manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I am making a direct plea to the driver of the Audi to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
