Appeal for information following fatal incident on Poole bus
Officers investigating a fatal incident on a bus in Poole are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A man aged in his 80s sustained injuries after reportedly falling over on the number 17 bus in Constitution Hill Road. This happened at around 2.10pm on Friday 24 February. The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident was not reported to police until Sunday 26 February after the man’s condition deteriorated. Very sadly, he was pronounced dead at hospital later that day.
Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who sadly died.
“I would appeal to any passengers who were on the bus at the time and witnessed what happened to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant footage on dashcam.”
