Young people looking to embark on an apprenticeship can find out more at an event taking place in Poole next week.
Bournemouth & Poole College is hosting its free Apprenticeships Unlocked event, in line with National Apprenticeship Week, on Wednesday 9 February.
Taking place from 4-8pm at the RNLI College, the event will provide talks from their expert apprenticeships team, The BASE, and it will also offer the chance to meet leading local employers delivering apprenticeships in the area. Employers coming along include Cobham, RNLI, Sunseeker, Street Agency, Breeze Volkswagen and much more.
With over 30 courses available in sectors ranging from Accounting to Engineering and Construction to Hospitality, the college will provide all the information prospective students need to make an informed decision on their further education options. Apprenticeships at Bournemouth & Poole College are available to apply at any time of year, with start dates dependent on employers’ vacancies.
Matt Butcher, commercial director at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “After hosting a virtual event last year, our team is very excited to be back meeting everyone in person and highlighting the benefits our apprenticeships can offer.
“We work with a huge number of local businesses in the area and this event is testament to the support we have been able to offer over the years, to our local economy and so many young people starting this next stage in their lives.”
Working in partnership with over 2,000 local businesses in Dorset and the surrounding area, 98 per cent of Bournemouth & Poole College apprentices gain employment or stay with their apprenticeship employer after their studies are complete.
