Lewis-Manning Hospice is celebrating the recent success of a local art exhibition that has raised £2250 for the Poole-based charity who offer free specialist palliative nursing care to hundreds of local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Organised by local artists Margaret Hasted, Sarah Kelly, Kathe Holt and Chris Saunders, the two week exhibition held at Church House in Wimborne, saw the four artists showcasing their work of approximately 100 paintings during the first week, while the second week featured 30 more local artists.
Paul Tucker, Lewis-Manning’s Marketing and Communications Officer said, “We are extremely grateful to Margaret Hasted and her team for working so tirelessly over the years to make the exhibition such a successful event. It is a great opportunity to enjoy the wonderful work of so many local artists, while also supporting the hospice. The standard of the work this year was once again impressive, contributing to one of the best amounts they have ever raised for Lewis-Manning.
