“We wanted to make Fathers’ Day really special this year and we couldn’t think of anything better than bringing in some really big toys for everyone to play with,” said Emma Reeks, visitor and engagement ranger at Moors Valley Country Park.
More than 100 tonnes of tractors, diggers and other awesome machinery will be at a Daddy’s Tractor Day at the park on Sunday 19 June.
From 11am to 3pm boys and girls of all ages can go crazy about tractors, chunky tyres, scoops, buckets and caterpillar tracks by getting hands-on with big tractors, little tractors, mowers, a timber rig and the Forestry Commission’s Fire Land Rover.
Grown-ups and kids can also take the digger challenge using the arm and bucket of a real digger to move log weights. Other attractions include tractor and trailer rides.
“Daddy’s Tractor Day is a great opportunity to get up close to some serious machinery and have a fantastic day out that the whole family can enjoy,” added Emma.
There is no entry fee to the event – but normal car parking charges will apply. Small charges will also apply to some activities.
