Wimborne Town FC boss Steve Cuss has described the spate of postponements which has led to his side not kicking a ball since their 6-2 victory at Evesham on 28 December as “frustrating.”
The Magpies New Year’s Day fixture at Tiverton was called off because of a waterlogged pitch and last Saturday’s game against Yate at Cuthbury also suffered the same fate.
“It’s very frustrating,” said Cuss.
“Not only are we missing games but we also have problems trying to find suitable places to train.
“But we will be training on Astroturf on Thursday night.
“On the plus side the postponements mean that we should have a fully fit squad for our next game. But on the downside it means that James Stokoe’s suspension is carried over and he will not be able to play.”
Wimborne Town’s next fixture is a Calor League Division One South & West clash at Stratford Town this coming Saturday, kick off 3pm.
