A West Moors woman couldn’t have won CashUnity at a better time.
Semi retired Elizabeth Allen was working on plans with her husband Tony to refit their bathroom when mags4dorset’s MD Ben Pulford rang to say she had won the April CashUnity prize draw.
Without any hesitation, Elizabeth said that the £500 cash would be put towards upgrading the tiles the couple will be choosing. As well as the cash in hand, Elizabeth won a £250 voucher to spend at Webb’s Butchers where she entered the draw. She won a further £250 to spend at any CashUnity participating traders of her choice and Elizabeth had no hesitation in asking to spend £200 at Tiegla Tiles in West Parley – where she intends to spend the £500 cash – and the balance of £50 will be spent at Drusilla’s to celebrate her win with a meal out with her family.
It was smiles all round and Elizabeth and Tony are looking forward to a bathroom with that extra CashUnity sparkle.
They retired to West Moors five years’ ago and Elizabeth shops regularly at Webb’s. She is the third person to win after buying meat at the popular butcher’s shop where Alex Webb promotes the scheme avidly to all his customers.
The mags4dorset initiative has paid out over £16,000 in the last 16 months to local shoppers.
