St Mary’s Church in Ferndown is submitting a planning application to East Dorset District Council for the Beacon Project.
The aim of the project is to develop the church’s current buildings and grounds to make St Mary’s more accessible and to benefit all members of the community. The scheme includes the building of a church lounge with hot drinks facilities to serve as a community meeting place and to link the church and hall buildings together. There are plans to extend the current rooms and to landscape the grounds for the enjoyment of all.
A response from the planning committee is anticipated in May.
