Bere Regis II XI were named the Dorset Funeral Plan team of the month for June – after going unbeaten.
They are now top of division six having gained maximum points in all their games during the month.
They defeated Poole Town II, Beaminster II, Marnhull II and Wimborne and Colehill IV.
Mark Alder from the sponsors presented the team with an award, individual medals and a bottle of bubbly.
With the bat, Brian Keegan and Jacob Lambert scored heavily while Jacob White and Brad Moss took many of the wickets.
Team skipper Andy Kent said: “We have lots of young players, with about half the players under 17.
“It’s been a real team effort and the fielding has been excellent and consistent. We just hope we can keep the form going for the rest of the season.”
Nick Douch from the sponsors – the Dorset Funeral Plan – said: “This was a great effort from a team with a mix of youth and experience.
“To gain maximum points in four games in a row is quite a feat and the award is very much deserved.”
