Five people have been arrested for alleged money laundering after an ongoing Dorset Police investigation into alleged drugs supply in Blandford Forum.
Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in the town on Wednesday 25 February.
Four men and a woman, all from the Blandford Forum area, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and released on bail until the beginning of April pending further enquiries.
It follows a previous warrant that was executed at another address in the Blandford area on Tuesday 17 February where four men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug. All five have been released on bail until the end of April pending further enquiries.
Inspector Rob Chalkley of Blandford police, said: “The town is a very safe place to live, work and visit and we are working hard to keep it that way. This operation is a result of listening to what our community tell us, that drug dealing is a real concern.
“Controlled drugs cause significant harm to communities in terms of their impact on health and increased crime required to fund habits.
“If you are involved in the supply of drugs you can expect a visit from my officers.”
