Blandford brewer Hall & Woodhouse opens the Community Chest
Nearly two dozen groups in Dorset received funding from the Blandford-based brewer’s charity, including £1,600 to Allendale Community Centre.
A total of 22 groups across Dorset have received a share of the 2025 Hall & Woodhouse Community Chest.
The awarded grants form part of a wider £60,000 annual fund that H&W donates to communities across the south of England. To date, the H&W Community Chest has awarded over £800,000 to more than 900 organisations.
Anthony Woodhouse, chairman of Hall & Woodhouse, said: “This year’s recipients of the Community Chest Awards cover a wide range of vital services, and we’re delighted to provide funds to help them continue their essential work.
“These organisations are often powered by dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. The Community Chest Awards are about recognising this commitment, as well as providing financial support to further their essential and needed work.”
