Bournemouth band mark 40th anniversary with new album
Green Isaac, which is made up of singer-songwriter Paul Holman and drummer Andy Place, have released an album entitled ‘Branch’.
Two local musicians, who have been recording together for 40 years, have released a new album entitled Branch.
Bournemouth band Green Isaac is made up of singer-songwriter Paul Holman and drummer Andy Place.
The album was recorded live between Noel Gallagher’s Lonestar Studio and Idaho Studio near Salisbury and with producer Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey (Noel Gallagher/Black Crowes/Crowded House), and reflects on themes of time, resilience, family and long-term creative collaboration.
Paul and Andy’s story spans teenage bands in the 1980s, near-misses with major success in the 90s, and a long period where friendship came before output. This new album marks a natural point where the music speaks again.
Drummer Andy Place said: “We made this album for the love of it. If the songs weren’t written, where would they go?”
‘Branch’ is available to stream and purchase via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.
