Bliss Aviation is supporting Julia’s House this year by donating trial flight vouchers and undergoing a series of fund raising activities.
A flight school based at Bournemouth Airport, has chosen to support Julia’s House this year by donating trial flight vouchers and undergoing a series of fund raising activities. Bliss Aviation, formerly Bournemouth Helicopters, was approached by the Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospices charity to donate a prize, and much to their surprise were given four, which are to be auctioned. A free flight is also being donated to a hotel as a prize, which is to be coupled with a free meal at the hotel and a sponsored chauffeur driven journey.
In addition to the vouchers, the Bliss team will be undertaking the £50 challenge; turning £50 into as much as they can to assist with raising funds. As part of the money raising efforts, operations manager Nick Bird will be taking part in the Brownsea Island swim in July.
Ollie Lehmann, managing director at Bliss Aviation, comments, “We like to help the local public as best as we can by supporting a chosen charity each year, and were delighted to be approached by Julia’s House.”
Julia’s House provides care and support to families across Dorset and Wiltshire who are caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
Bliss Aviation was established in June 1994 by Gary Ellson who, following a career in the Coastguard Agency, came for a trial lesson which led to not only his gaining a helicopter licence, but also the ownership of a training school. Since then Bliss has established itself as the South’s premier flight school, providing trial lessons and quality flight training to Private Pilot Licence (PPL) level.
