Bournemouth care home welcomes Lolly and Dolly
Two lambs from Em’s Friendly Farm were bottle feed and cuddled by residents of Talbot View care home.

Two spring lambs visited a care home in Bournemouth recently.
Residents of Talbot View on Ensbury Avenue met seven-week-old Lolly and nine-week-old Dolly from Em’s Friendly Farm. After being encouraged into some of the residents’ bedrooms, Lolly and Dolly were guided into one of the home’s communal lounges to be bottle-fed.
Residents loved meeting the animals. Bryan said: “I lived on a farm as a child and my three uncles also had farms, so I’m used to bottle-feeding lambs. They were lovely. I would like to have kept them so that they could keep my feet warm.”
Gloria said: “Lambs are God’s gift to the world. I like the fact that one had a long tail and the other had a short tail. I think they were wonderful, very friendly and they liked cuddles.”
Chris said: “We used to have lambs at the end of our garden and there were farms all around us. They were beautiful.”
Neil Dominy, manager of the Care South home, said: “It was a real joy to see the residents’ faces light up when Lolly and Dolly arrived. Meeting the lambs brought back many happy memories for the residents and offered the chance to meet some farm animals without having to travel to a farm.”
