Bournemouth class A drug dealer sentenced
A Bournemouth man found in possession of more than £600 worth of class A drugs when stopped by an officer in the town centre was sentenced at Crown Court on 10 September 2018.

Amaru Campbell, 19 and of Hannington Place was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court after admitting two charges of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He was handed a two-year prison sentenced suspended for two years.
An officer was on cycle patrol in the Central Gardens area on 10 March when he saw Campbell and two other men walking toward him. Campbell ran off and the officer cycled after him and was eventually able to detain him for a search.
The officer found a black polythene wrap containing a number of smaller wraps in Campbell’s pocket.
The contents were found to contain 29 wraps of heroin and 32 of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of £610.
PC Stuart Grant, of Bournemouth South Neighbourhood Policing Team, said, “We recognise the impact drug-related activity and associated crime has on the local community and our officers are committed to doing all we can to tackle the supply of drugs.
“We will continue to work with our partners and respond to any information provided by local residents as part of our efforts to disrupt the supply of class A drugs.”
