Bournemouth drug dealer now behind bars
Dragos Serban pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug.
A Bournemouth drug dealer has been jailed for two and a half years.
Dragos Serban, 32, was sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A at Bournemouth Crown Court on Tuesday 21 May.
At around 10.10am on Monday 30 September 2024, officers stopped a black Mercedes in Poole. Serban was searched and officers located a yellow plastic egg that contained 16 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. Over £400 cash and two phones were also seized from the vehicle which, when forensically examined, provided detailed bulk messages advertising the sale of illegal drugs in the Bournemouth area.
Following further enquiries, Serban was subsequently charged with these offences.
Police Constable Bill Newton of Dorset Police said: “Through our investigation, we were able to bring Serban before the courts to be held responsible for his actions.
“We would like to reassure the public that we will continue to relentlessly pursue those who supply and sell illegal drugs in our communities.
“We would urge the public to report any incidents of suspected drug dealing to us so we can take decisive and proportionate action.”
