Ladies Circle is coming back to Bournemouth as the national associations celebrates its 80th birthday.
Circle is a club for women aged 18-45 to meet new people and get involved in fun, friendship and fundraising. The first Circle originally started in Bournemouth in 1932, was formalised in 1936 and has grown into an international organisation. The Bournemouth Circle is now being relaunched and its first meeting at the end of June was an informal summer’s evening, with Pimms served by Coy Pond.
The girls have lots of exciting ideas for future events, including stand-up paddle boarding, chocolate tasting and cocktail making.
Helen Dawson, Area Chair of Circles in Hampshire & Dorset said: “Ladies Circle is an amazing association to be a part of and gives young women in the Bournemouth area the opportunity to connect, have a great time and give something back to the community.
Though the club was established in a different time, the original principles of friendship and service remain as relevant today as ever.
“Our club offers young women a chance to do something for themselves through new challenges and activities, opportunities to make new friends and importantly, to make a difference. If you think your bin goes out more than you do, then why not give us a shout and get involved?”
The club is always welcoming new members. Contact them via email at bournemouthladiescircle@gmail.com, or find them on Facebook by searching for Bournemouth Ladies Circle.
