A musician has pleaded guilty to 16 offences of making indecent images and movies of children including a baby.
Roy Gaynor, 68, of Bournemouth, admitted the charges at Bournemouth Crown Court today, Monday 30 March 2015.
Detectives from Dorset Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) were alerted to Gaynor’s online activities and launched an investigation.
Various computers and electronic devices were subsequently seized at Gaynor’s home.
Gaynor, who has directed and worked in numerous musical shows, admitted to making more than 300 indecent images and movies, some of which were in category A and showed the most severe level of abuse.
He was released on bail and will appear for sentence at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 22 May 2015.
Detective Constable Paul Chessell, of the Paedophile Online Investigation Team, said: “Gaynor had made hundreds of indecent images of children, some of which showed the most severe category of abuse.
