Bournemouth pedestrian dies following collision with a motorcycle
Witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the collision which occurred on Sunday 26 February is asked to contact the police.
A woman in her 80s has died a month after a collision with a Yamaha motorcycle near to the junction of Haviland Road and Ashley Road in Boscombe.
Dorset Police was called at 12.58pm on Sunday 26 February and officers attended, along with the ambulance service. The pedestrian, a Bournemouth woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were initially not thought to be life-threatening. Very sadly, her condition deteriorated and she died in hospital on Tuesday 28 March. Her family has been informed.
Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly died following this collision.
“We will continue to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage.”
