Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a robbery in Bournemouth.
The incident happened at approximately 9.45pm on Monday 14 July in the centre of St Paul’s roundabout, known locally as the bear pit roundabout.
A 17-year-old boy was walking in the subway towards the centre of the roundabout – also known as the bear pit – while talking on his mobile phone. As he entered the bear pit he was punched in the back of the head which caused him to fall to the ground and his iPhone 5c phone was stolen. When the victim looked up he saw two men running off towards Holdenhurst Road in the direction of Lansdowne.
The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Katie Savill, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following enquiries I am now able to release CCTV images of the suspects.
“I am hoping that somebody will know who these men are from the photographs and I would ask anyone who recognises them to contact Dorset Police.
“I am keen to speak with anyone who has any information about the incident or has been offered an iPhone 5c for sale for an unusually cheap price, or in suspicious circumstances”
No arrests have been made.
