Bournemouth: two charged with attempted murder following reported stabbing
A man and a woman have been charged with attempted murder following a reported stabbing in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report shortly after 2am on Sunday 19 April that a man in Argyll Road had sustained stab wounds to his chest and neck.
The man, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
Officers arrested a 63-year-old local man and a 42-year-old Bournemouth woman following enquiries.
Both have been charged with attempted murder and are due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on 21 April.
Detective Constable Ben Swain, of Bournemouth CID, said, “These arrests follow a fast-moving investigation and our enquiries into this matter are ongoing.
“I would urge anyone with any information that can assist our investigation to please contact police.”
