Bournemouth Water to supply water bottle refill stations
In order to reduce single-use plastic waste, the company is supplying water stations at festivals and events across the region.

People visiting local events in the coming months will be able to refill their water bottles, courtesy of Bournemouth Water.
The company is providing free water refill stations to help thousands of people stay hydrated sustainably and so reduce single-use plastic waste.
This year, the company has already provided free water at Bournemouth 7’s festival and Bournemouth University Summer Ball and is continuing its efforts at upcoming gatherings including:
- Bourne Free PRIDE Festival: Meyrick Park, Bournemouth from 11 and 12 July.
- Bournemouth Reggae Weekender: Kings Park Drive, Bournemouth from 25 to 27 July.
- New Forest Marathon: New Park Showground, Brockenhurst on 14 September.
Richard Stanbrook, director of Drinking Water Services at Bournemouth Water, said: “Refilling your water bottles when you’re out and about is an easy step everyone can take to reduce plastic waste and save water.
“We’re proud to be supporting lots of local events with our free water refill stations this summer and encourage lasting habits that benefit people and planet.”
