Break-in overnight at home in Poole
Police think there could be a link between the burglary and a man who was trying door handles in upper Parkstone recently.
Bank cards were amongst items stolen from a home in Edward Road overnight between Monday 25 August and Tuesday 26 August.
Police Constable Ryan Greenwell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to please come forward.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who captured any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage or witnessed any suspicious activity in Edward Road overnight between Monday 25 August and Tuesday 26 August 2025. Your information could assist our enquiries.
“Further reports have been received of a man trying door handles in the wider Upper Parkstone area over recent weeks. We would like to hear from anyone with relevant information as we carry out enquiries to establish if these incidents are linked.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250127452. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
