A 56-year-old woman from Broadstone suffered multiple fractures to both arms and legs when she was involved in a collision on Lower Blandford Road in Broadstone.
She was driving a silver Peugeot 207 which was in collision with a black Mercedes C220 estate at approximately 3.25pm on Wednesday 28 October 2015 and was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance.
A 57-year-old woman from York, who was a passenger in the Peugeot, sustained severe head and abdominal injuries. She is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Poole Hospital and her condition is said to be serious but stable.
The driver of the Mercedes – a 69-year-old man from Poole – suffered a broken wrist and was taken by ambulance to Poole Hospital. His passenger, a 14-year-old boy also from Poole, suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to Poole Hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services and collision investigators dealt with the incident.
Police Sergeant Mark Farrow, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle being driven prior to the incident to please call me on 101.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience during the road closures which was necessary to allow us to treat the injured and examine the scene.”
