Burglars target properties in Dorset and Hampshire
Both incidents took place on Thursday 6 June, one near Bridport and the other in Totton, and police are appealing for witnesses.
Police in two Forces are hoping witnesses will come forward following forced entries which both took place on Thursday 6 June.
In Dorset at an address in Village Road in Bradpole, near Bridport, the occupants were woken at around 4.40am by someone attempting to gain access to their property.
PC Dan White, of Bridport police, said: “Thankfully, the suspects were disturbed and nothing was stolen during the incident.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area, or may have captured any relevant footage, to please contact Dorset Police.
“In particular, I understand there were two members of the public who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have important information to help our enquiries.”

In Hampshire, two men forced entry to a shed at an address on Goodwood Gardens, Totton.
The men are described as of skinny build and wearing black clothing with the hoods up.
They were subsequently disturbed, but then threw a garden statue at a window as they left the property, causing damage in the process.
