Burglary and card fraud in Poole
Anyone who was on the forecourt of the garage in the early hours of 2 October and has dashcam footage is asked to contact the police.
A handbag containing bank cards and a mobile phone was stolen when someone broke into a home in Dawkins Road between 4am and 4.40am on Thursday 2 October.
The bank card was subsequently used at the Esso garage in Blandford Road at around 4.40am.
Police Constable Ben Gregory, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out an investigation to identify the person responsible.
“At this time, we do not have a description for the suspect, and we are speaking to the garage about obtaining CCTV footage from when the bank card was used.
“However, in the meantime I would ask anyone who was at the forecourt around the relevant time and may have captured any relevant footage to please come forward.
“If you have any information that may help us identify the offender, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250146055. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
