Flagship store raises standard
Costa Coffee in Wimborne was opened in February 2007 and has just undergone a major refurbishment.

The Wimborne store was opened by local Costa franchisees Mark and Jane Brown. At the time it was their third Costa store and the business has now grown to 11 locations throughout the area, from New Milton in the east to Bridport in the west.
The Wimborne store is the company’s flagship.
It originally occupied 1-3 Crown Court and in 2010 was extended into No.4 to provide additional customer seating.
The store has just been fully refurbished to include fresh new furniture, lighting and decor, new customer toilets and a larger counter; the latter gives room for one more coffee machine and one more till to speed up customer service.
The store was originally managed by Ally Higgs, who in 2011 handed over the reins to Sarah Wellstead and her team, (pictured), who continue to provide great coffee and a warm welcome to all the customers.
Ally is now Area Manager and has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all 11 stores in the business.
Sarah and her team have received very positive feedback from regular customers about the refurbished store. They look forward to continue to greet locals and visitors alike to enjoy the new surroundings and as ever Costa’s great food and coffee.
