Buzzcocks to appear at Dorset music festival
The Barnstomper festival being held in Cerne Abbas Brewery in the shadow of the Giant is on 2 and 3 September.
Phil Hoyle, landlord of Ringwood’s London Tavern is one of the organisers of a music festival to be held in Cerne Abbas in September.
Headlining the event to be held in the shadow of the Cerne Abbas Giant are legendary punk rock band Buzzcocks. Other acts to appear at Barnstopper include Holy Moly and The Crackers, Guns of Navarone and Imperial Leisure.
It is being held on 2 and 3 September at the Cerne Abbas Brewery.
Phil Hoyle said: “Securing these acts has been a real effort but it will be superb.
“Holy Moly and the Crackers are a lively female-fronted folk-rock outfit from Newcastle and Imperial Leisure are a ska/rock band from London.
“We also have Black Water Country, a six-piece Dorset-based folk-punk band and Warrington’s Roughneck Riot which are folky and punky.
“Music and beer go together perfectly and we have plenty of both.
“The cost for the two days is just £75 which includes camping and it is a real snip and great value.
“With the cost of living crisis we have kept the price as low as possible to encourage people to finish off the festival season with a bang.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our regulars but also new festival-goers to what we believe will be the best Barnstomper yet.
“Hopefully we’ll have great weather, but never mind the rain we’ve got Buzzcocks.”
