Call for local artists to donate work to charity auction in Poole
A call has gone out to local artists asking them to donate their work and help turn art into food for those struggling this winter.
Artists are being invited to donate their work – drawings, paintings, sculpture – to the Art Into Food auction, to raise money for local charity Poole Waste Not Want Not, a food bank in Poole High Street.
Good examples of work by talented artists will be auctioned for the benefit of this worthy local charity. The venue for the auction will be the “Gather” space in the Dolphin Centre. It will take place on Saturday 5 November.
Artists should bring in their work in the morning from 9.30am and potential buyers can view it in “Gather”. All work must be well presented, either framed or mounted.
The auction will begin at 11am and continue, lot by lot, until all have been sold.
If you’re an artist who would like to donate some of your work to a good cause, go to the Poole and East Dorset Art Society web site www.pedas.org.uk to find out how to take part.
