Residents at a Dorset care home enjoyed a range of activities when they hosted a visit from The Prince’s Trust.
Eight young people aged 16 to 25, together with their adult leaders, spent three hours at Colten Care’s Avon Reach residential and nursing home at Mudeford.
They laid on a range of activities for residents including musical bingo, word games and arts and crafts.
Sandra Boulton, Activities Coordinator, said: “One of the young adults spent two weeks at Avon Reach on work experience. Her team leader felt she had changed so much as a result that it would be good to organise a visit involving other young people.
“Our residents really enjoyed meeting them and taking part in a range of activities. It was a fun day.”
Team leader Paul Lawrence said staff and residents at Avon Reach had been very welcoming. “It’s gone very well,” he added.
The Prince’s Trust was founded by Prince Charles in 1976 and has become the UK’s leading youth charity.
It provides practical and financial support to young people, helping to develop confidence and motivation and enable them to move into work, education or training.
