Care South Chairman’s 2020 Fund is now open
Groups which provide a service to Care South’s homes and clients are invited to apply for funding with the deadline 29 October.
Care South is inviting groups to apply for grants from its Chairman’s 2020 Fund.
It was set up last year by the Board with the aim of benefiting Care South employees, volunteers and community groups who provide a service to the group’s care homes, care at home offices and clients and residents
Anyone can apply for awards of between £500 and £5,000, or more in exceptional circumstances on or behalf of an organisation, as long as the recipient of the award is a non-profit making organisation, including charities and charitable incorporated organisations. The deadline for entries is Friday 29 October
Simon Bird, Care South’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be able to support an array of fantastic charities which are close to our heart. We are fortunate to have many friends of Care South who selflessly volunteer their own time, often not just to us, but also to the wider community. This is a token of thanks which we hope will go some way in supporting those that have previously, and continue to, support us.”
The latest Chairman’s Funds were granted in 2020 and were awarded to the likes of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, Mosaic, Southbourne Foodbank, Margaret Green Animal Rescue, Caring Canines Dorset Mind and Weymouth School of Ballet.
Once an individual or group has submitted an application, they will be advised of the date of the next Chairman’s 2020 Fund Committee meeting where applications are considered, and awards made.
