The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was delighted to be invited to provide carol singers at Sainsbury’s in Ferndown on Sunday 15 December. The charity was overwhelmed by the absolutely brilliant support that they received.
Jane Oakland organised a choir made up from members of the Cadenza choir and the Cantilena ladies choir in Broadstone. They were also joined by a brass band which included members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and their families. Also on the team were several students from Ferndown Middle School with their Head Teacher Gill Allen and other members of staff.
With a choir, a brass band and a sensational performance of traditional Christmas carols the Sunday shopping trip was given a wonderfully festive feel. A fantastic £245 was collected in donations in under two hours.
