A CCTV image of a suspect has been released by police following the theft of a bike in Christchurch.
At around 2.30pm on Wednesday 21 October 2015, a high-value bike was stolen from Honeywell Aerospace in Enterprise Way on Aviation Park West.
It was secured with locks and the suspect was seen to use bolt croppers to cut the bike free, before riding it away. The bike is described as a Specialized Roubaix.
The suspect was wearing a grey body warmer with the hood up, a long sleeved grey top, grey tracksuit trousers with the Adidas logo on them and dark coloured trainers. He was wearing black gloves and had a mask covering his face.
PC Matt Brennan, of Christchurch police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises this man from the clothing he was wearing to please call Dorset Police on 101.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has been offered a similar bike for sale to please contact me. All calls will be treated in strict confidence.
“I would like to remind cyclists to ensure they secure their bikes with good locks and chains and note the serial number.”
