Police are appealing for witnesses after a man exposed himself to an elderly woman.
At around 2.15am on Sunday 29 November 2015, an elderly woman was at home in Wellington Road, Bournemouth when she heard a knock at the door.
A man asked for help claiming he had been assaulted and this prompted the victim to open the door.
It has been reported that once inside the flat, the suspect sat in the lounge and indecently exposed himself to the victim. As she attempted to dial 999, he grabbed the phone and shouted abuse at her before leaving the property.
The victim screamed before pulling her emergency Careline cord to call for help. She was not physically injured.
The suspect is described as white, six feet tall and of average build and muscular. He is aged between 25 and 30 and has short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue jacket and blue jeans and spoke with a local accent
Detective Chief Inspector Jez Noyce, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a very serious but thankfully rare incident and I am calling on the public to help us find the person responsible.
“As part of our investigation, I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect and I would urge anyone who knows who he is to please contact me.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who saw a man matching the description given acting suspiciously in the area at the relevant time to please call Dorset Police.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have been approached at home in similar circumstances.”
