CCTV appeal after burglary in Herbert Avenue, Poole
Detectives in Dorset have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Poole on Saturday 2 September at a property on Herbert Avenue.
The incident happened at around 11am when the two victims reported that a man walked down their driveway to the rear of the premises on Herbert Avenue, entered their conservatory and kitchen area before taking a wallet.
One of the victims – a man in his 70s – then challenged the offender. The offender claimed he was looking for someone, before pushing the victim in the chest and running off.
Described as aged in his late 20s, of medium build, with short dark brown hair, the offender was wearing a short-sleeved white T-shit or polo shirt, with knee-length shorts.
Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have been making a number of enquiries since the incident, including house-to-house and speaking with local businesses and we have now obtained CCTV images of the suspect that I am now issuing.
“If you know who this man is or have any information that could assist with my investigation, please get in touch with Dorset Police.
“I am also appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage of a man running across or along Herbert Avenue, to contact me.”
