Police investigating an assault on a teenage boy in Verwood are appealing for the public’s help – after issuing CCTV images of the suspect.
At around 2pm on Sunday 11 September 2016, a 14-year-old boy was shopping in Morrisons in Chiltern Drive when he was kicked on the back of the legs by an unknown man. The impact caused the victim’s legs to buckle slightly.
The victim turned around and was pushed in the left shoulder by the man who threatened to hurt him. The victim then told the man to stop and the offender turned around and walked off.
He described the suspect as white, aged in his mid-40s, six feet one inch tall, with short dark hair and a mark or scar above his lip.
Police Constable Mark Mills, of East Dorset police, said: “As part of my investigation I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of the suspect and I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about who was responsible to get in touch.”
