Detectives investigating an alleged stabbing in Bournemouth are appealing for the public’s help to identify a suspect.
At around 11.43pm on Sunday 30 October it was reported that an argument had broken out outside ANJ Off Licence in St Michael’s Road between two men and a member of staff.
The first man is described as black and the second is described as white and was wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
It is alleged the white suspect produced a knife and threatened the member of staff. The victim is said to have wrestled the knife off the suspect and it fell on the ground.
The knife was then picked up by the black suspect who allegedly stabbed the victim in the back.
The victim, aged in his late teens and of Poole, sustained a stab wound to his back. His condition was not life-threatening.
A 24-year-old man from Sutton in Surrey has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife and appeared before Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 3 November. He is next due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 1 December.
Detective Constable Adrian Turner, of Bournemouth CID, said: “As part of my investigation, I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a suspect I would like to identify.
“I would urge anyone who recognises this man to please contact Dorset Police or Crimestoppers.”
