A 46-year-old Bournemouth man sustained a broken wrist, a broken finger and cuts to his face following an assault at the Libertine pub, Alumhurst Road, Westbourne. It happened at approximately 3.15pm on Wednesday 30 July and police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to get in touch.
Detective Constable Jon Sainsbury, of Bournemouth CID, said: “The victim does not remember the attack but CCTV footage shows the offender grabbing him round the neck and then they both move out of the camera’s view. The next thing he remembers is being in the ambulance.
“I am releasing a CCTV image of the suspect and I urge anyone who recognises him to speak with the police in confidence.
“Unfortunately we do not have a full description of the offender however the picture that that he is a black man, wearing sunglasses and was carrying a motorcycle helmet when he entered the pub.
“I am keen to speak with witnesses, or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation, as soon as possible.”
